Hardfacing Solutions: Hard-Faced Wear Plates & Hardfacing Flux-Cored Wires

As shown in the picture, large-size metallurgical rollers are being repaired by automatic submerged-arc hardfacing. The worn roller substrate is rebuilt layer by layer with alloy welding material. After hardfacing, post-weld heat treatment and precision machining, the restored roller regains original dimension and excellent anti-wear performance, and can go back to the rolling mill for service. This kind of roller repair work heavily relies on high-quality hardfacing flux-cored wires.

Our hardfacing flux-cored wires are specially engineered for automatic hardfacing work, suitable for roller hard-surfacing, as well as overlaying on buckets, crusher hammers and other worn components. Different alloy grades are available to handle working conditions of high abrasion, heavy impact or elevated temperature. The wires deliver stable arc performance, uniform weld bead formation, low spatter and consistent hardness across overlay layers. They work perfectly with automatic hardfacing machines for roller rebuilding, hard-faced plate production and on-site component repair. Good crack resistance and wear resistance reduce failure risks of overlay layers in heavy-duty industrial environments.

Our hard-faced wear plates are manufactured by overlaying high-chromium alloy onto mild steel base plate with our self-produced hardfacing flux-cored wires. The composite structure combines the toughness of the base steel and superior wear resistance of the hard alloy overlay layer. The hard-faced surface presents typical solidified welding ripples. These wear plates can be cut, bent and welded for installation. They are widely applied for lining of chutes, bunkers, transfer points, material pipes, crusher protective liners in steel plants, mines, cement factories, power plants and aggregate processing sites. Instead of replacing whole equipment, customers install our hard-faced plates as protective liners, greatly lowering spare-part consumption and cutting overall maintenance expenditure.

Compared with purchasing brand-new cast wear parts, hardfacing solution brings obvious economic benefits.
